Hello and Happy New Year!
I hope you all had an amazing day today!
For those of you that don’t know I’m from south Texas and the last time it snowed here was on December 24, 2004, approximately 13 years ago! 13! I was only eight years old and I still remember bits and pieces of that day. Though we did not get a lot of snow it was enough for us to call it a white Christmas!
After 13 years on December 8, 2017 it finally snowed here again and it was so beautiful! I did what any other person who hasn’t really seen snow would do! Take pictures! I took tons of pictures/videos. I even went driving around the whole town just to take pictures and to admire the beauty of it.
Here are some of the pictures I was able to capture on this beautiful day!
I wasn’t quite sure whether it was going to snow but after some time it just started snowing!
It did snow very softly at first. At one point I wasn’t sure if it was snow or just rain.
But after a while it just started pouring and the site was beautiful.
My dad even called me from work and asked me to take a picture of his oldie truck the one he swears to fix one day. Lol
My mom also called me and asked me to take a picture of the house.
I even drove past campus to see what it would look like with all the snow.
And I’m glad I did, because it was gorgeous!
It was like something you see out of a Christmas movie. People were building snowman and having themselves a good old fashioned snow ball fight. What I was most excited about was making a snow angel! Let me say that making a snow angel with jeans on is not a good idea. I nearly froze my butt off. Lol
All in all, it was an amazing day. One I will remember for a long time.
