Influenster Voxbox | Chic Voxbox | Unboxing

Hello, hello! I hope you are having (or already) had a great day!

As you can tell by the title, I received another Influenster voxbox! I swear this is getting way too easy! Lol. If you love receiving free products (especially beauty products) then you seriously have to consider signing up for Influenster! This is my sixth or seventh voxbox and I am so excited to show you all the goodies I received for free!

I qualified for their chic voxbox campaign and I received 4 lovely products!

The first product is a sample size shampoo and conditioner from Hair Food. Before receiving these sample items I had never heard of these products, yet alone this brand. That is probably another reason why I love Influenster. I get to try out different products that I probably would not usually buy in store and it seems like every time I receive a voxbox I find a new product to obsess over! Lol. This shampoo and condtioner will help moisturize your hair and it is infused with a honey apricot fragrance. I absolutely love the way this smells! I especially loved how this product left my hair feeling and looking! Both items are free of paraben and mineral oil. The full size products for this sample retail for $9.99 each and contain 530 mL, while the sample contained only 10 mL. (Just so you can get an idea of big the bottles will be!)

Next, we have a Pomegranate Ahas & Enzymes Resufacing Mask by KORRES. I received a sample size, which contains 10 mL.This product is for oily to combination skin type. I have not yet used this product, but I am really excited to try this item out and just like the item above I have not heard of this brand before. Lol. I feel like I live under a rock since I don’t know many of these brands/products. The full size product which contains 75 mL retails for $34.00! It is a little pricey for me, but if I love this product I will definitely have to give in and buy it!

We then have an EOS shave cream. I was unaware that EOS also made shave cream. I had initially thought that they only made lip balms! I received the sensitive shave cream, so this item is specially made for sensitive skin and helps to soothe and deeply moisturize skin, while maintaining no added fragrance. This full sized item retails for $3.99.

Lastly, I received a full sized mascara! This is the NYX Worth the Hype Volumizing & Lengthening Masacara. It has a buildable formula and gives you dark, fuller looking lashes. I absolutely fell in love with this mascara. I can see why they called it ‘Worth the Hype’ Lol. It really did give my lashes that volume and length that I love! This full size product retails for $8.00. I definitely recommend this item if you are looking for a good mascara!

Those are all the products I received! Like I said before I highly recommend checking Influenster out! It’s totally free and if you love free stuff, you would love Influenster.

I hope you have a great week and thank you so much for reading!

Influenster Voxbox: BareMinerals Made-2-Fit Foundation

Hello and happy Saturday! I hope everyone is having a great day!

As you can tell by the title, I got (yet again), another voxbox! This time I was accepted into the BareMinerals Made-2-Fit virtual vox campaign! Technically not a ‘voxbox’, but a virtual one.

I’m not going to lie. When I received an email from Influenster stating that I was in their virtual vox campaign I was kind of confused as to how this was going to work, since this was my first virtual vox. Usually when Influenster notifies me of my acceptance into their campaigns they always mail the voxbox out right after emailing me. This time I had to put in a little extra ‘work’. I was confused, but mostly excited because I noticed that the collaboration involved BareMinerals.

As I read their email I had to reread it, because I was sort of confused with what I had read. I had to double check if not triple check, because the email had stated that I had been accepted to receive a fifty dollar customized foundation for free! Yes, for free! I’ve only ever heard of Influensters who had crazy amounts of followers receive these high priced/quality products, so you can imagine my excitement to hear this.

I was so excited, especially since I was in need of a new foundation. Lol. All I had to do was download the BareMinerals Made-2-Fit  app, which was free and I also had to follow certain steps within the app. I’m assuming that this was something new since I’ve never heard of it. The app was totally unique and interesting to me. Basically this app was going to scan my face and match me with the right shade of foundation. I was very pessimistic at first, especially since I’ve always had trouble finding the right shade. Even professionals at beauty stores tend to state that they’ll ‘match’ you, but in the end your foundation is either a shade too light or too dark. I couldn’t believe that an app was going to match me. I honestly thought this was going to be a waste of their resources and my time.

The app required several steps that consisted of their new MATCHCo’s technology. I’d say the process of matching took anywhere between five to eight minutes, all from the comfort of my home! I did not have to go into any drugstores/beauty stores for this, which makes it that much better!

After putting in my unique coupon code from Influenster and placing my order I got an email from BareMinerals stating that my custom foundation was in the works! I was very excited, but also tried to contain myself since I didn’t want to get my hopes up. Six days later I got my complimentary foundation and was surprisingly shocked that I got a perfect match! I was just blown away with how advanced their technology was. An app was able to perfectly match me! An app! Lol. I would’ve never thought that this would’ve been possible!

Aside from that I fell in love with weightless formula. I did a little research on this product and found out that their formula contains nourishing and antioxidants ingredients including green tea extract, Vitamin E, and peptides as well as ceramide, chamomile and white lily flower for an instantly younger looking, more beautiful finish!

I’m honestly just so thankful to of have been one of the two thousand people to of have gotten this amazing opportunity. I definitely recommend trying out this product/app if you are looking for a new foundation. You can even get it customized like I did with them! I also recommend signing up to Influenster! It is so much fun being able to receive/test several products out.

I hope you enjoyed reading and make the rest of this weekend a good one!

Thanks for reading!

Walmart Beauty Box | Winter 2018

Hello and happy Monday!

I hope everyone is having a great start to a new week!

Is anyone else a huge fan or getting stuff in the mail? Because I am, especially subscription boxes! They’re just so much fun!

I recently found out that Walmart has a seasonal beauty box! It’s not a subscription box where you have to pay a monthly or seasonal fee, but it’s just as good if not even better because there’s no commitment!

I was pretty surprised to find out that Walmart has a beauty box! Walmart! Not even Ulta has a beauty box! Lol. The awesome part of all this is that you only have to pay for the shipping fee which is a flat rate of $5! Five dollars!

With the winter season still in play, Walmart sent out products that can help with the dryness of the harsh winters.

Today I’m going to do an unboxing of the Walmart beauty box. This is actually my first Walmart beauty box, so I am very excited to see what I received for only five dollars.

You can’t really expect top of the line or full sized products when you only pay $5, but to my surprise I was quite pleased with what I received.

So let’s get started with this unboxing!

When you receive your beauty box, it’s going to look like this. I love the color combinations, so girly!

When you open the box the inside of the lid says ‘Celebrate your beauty. Your beauty is a gift to the world!’ which I just love! We are all beautiful in our own ways! I love how Walmart helps remind us of our uniqueness and beauty when we forget to remind ourselves.

Inside the box it comes with a little card, similar to the lid, placed on all of your goodies. It also comes with some cute matching tissue paper, which makes the beauty box feel more like a present! Lol.

The first product and the one I was most excited about was this Donkey Milk Sleeping Marks which helps to restore your skin while sleeping. I actually already used this item and it left my face and neck feeling so nice and moisturized! It sort of gave me a shine/glow the next day! I am totally going to reorder this mask again! The retail price for this item is $2.50! That’s literally half of what I paid for!

Next, we have a Ban roll-on deodorant in the scent powdered fresh. I absolutely love the scent it smells so nice and clean! I especially love how small it is because I can literally toss this in my purse for emergencies! This item is currently sitting in my purse right now for those deodorant emergencies. Lol. The retail price for this item at Walmart is $2.63!

I am a huge fan of Biore, especially their nose strips, so when I saw this I got a little too excited. Lol. This is the Biore Baking Soda Acne Scrub, retail price for this item in around $1.75. I also put this item to use the minute I got it and I love the way it made my face feel! It had a cool/clean feeling, which is what I love in an acne/face scrub.

The beauty box also came with a travel size body wash, by Soapbox. I’ve never actually heard of this brand before to my surprise it was very good! It smells so good and helps to soothe and replenish your skin. What I found super unique and interesting about this brand is that their mission is to empower people to change the world through everyday quality purchases. Whenever you purchase a full sized bottle of this body wash you also give back a bar of soap to a person in need, which I think is so awesome. Their bottle even have a Hope Code, which you can type in at their website and find out where in the world your purchase is doing good! The retail price for this small bottle is 32 cents, so a full sized product shouldn’t cost more than two dollars! I am definitely going to purchase a full sized bottle in the near future!

We then have John Fireda’s Daily nourishment moisturizing conditioner for dry/unmanageable hair. This conditioner left my hair feeling so soft and smooth! The retail price for this item is $1.50!

I was also given a sample size of the Olay Advanced Tone Perfecting Moisturizer with a coupon of three dollars off their products! I am actually really excited to use this item!

I’m not a huge fan of stick-on nails, but I have used this brand before and really enjoyed it! The first time I had ever used this brand was from when I got a voxbox from Influenster! The stick on nails lasted a whole week! A week! I’m not crazy about the color or the anchor theme, so I am probably going to save these for my little cousins. Lol. The retail price for this item is $5.97!

Lastly, we have a Gold Bond Ultimate Hydrating cream which retails for the price of 43 cents! My hands are always getting dry from the constant use of hand sanitizer and from constant washing of my hands. It’s nice to have a travel size lotion to keep my hands moisturized!

What I love about this beauty box is that they are all travel size products and they send products that I probably would never consider buying for myself. Helps me discover new items!

All in all, these products cost all together $15.10 and I only payed $5, which is a total bargain!

I hope you enjoyed this unboxing of the Walmart Beauty Box and I’d love to know your thought on some of these items! I hope you have a great week and thank you for reading!

What’s in My Purse?!

Hello and happy Thursday!

Today I want to show you what’s in my purse! I love watching ‘What’s in My Purse?’ videos on YouTube, so I decided I would write a blog post on it!

So let’s begin!

IMG_3495.jpg

I have the large Michael Kors tote bag. It’s my favorite especially since I am always carrying tons of things. I decided to get this color combination, because it matches with both brown and black outfits.

IMG_3498.jpg

I also got the matching wallet with the purse! I actually got these two items for my birthday two and half years ago!

IMG_3502.jpg

I always carry a body spray, whether it’s in my purse or backpack. This is the travel size Night fragrance mist by Victoria’s Secret. It smells so good! Because of its ‘strong’ fragrance, I highly recommend this body spray as your go-to during a night out. The item retails at just $15, and are often sold as a “buy one, get one free” promotion. Cheap, and easy to carry? Definitely a must!

IMG_3503.jpg

Now, we move onto one of the more ‘unusual’ items found in my purse. Being that it’s a tote bag, why not let it double as a backpack as well?! At the moment, I’m carrying along the book Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. For all you bookworms out there, this is a classic I highly suggest!

IMG_3507.jpg

If you’re going to call South Texas home, sunglasses are a must! My absolute favorite sunglasses are these Ray Bans. I’ve had these going on five years now, which speaks volumes regarding their durability! They’re the aviator sunglasses, with the gold rim. I paid upwards of $150 for these, but times change, and lucky for you, they’re online at retail for only $125 now.

IMG_3509.jpg

I have my ‘All I need is coffee and mascara’ journal. I actually won this at a baby shower and it has been so helpful! I am always scribbling in there, whether it’s my to do list or a blog post idea. It comes really in handy!

IMG_3510.jpg

With so many things going on in our day-to-day lives, it’s easy to forget a pre-aranged appointment or school assignment. Cue the handy planner. Since I am going to school this semester I’m always planning out me weeks and assignments that I have to do. Very convenient to carry in my purse! (Yes, I know, 2017 is long gone. So time for an update!)

For makeup in my purse I do have quite a few products.

IMG_3513.jpg

I have the Urban Decay Powder. I’m always carrying it around for little touch ups.

IMG_3516.jpg

I have this cute double mirror also from Urban Decay. I received this item for free and I use it almost every single day!

IMG_3520.jpg

I have a Nars lipstick its the shade ‘Orgasm’. I also received this item for free! It’s a light shimmer pink! Super cute!

IMG_3523.jpg

I also have one of my favorite mascaras from Benefit Cosmetics! I am always carrying it in cast of emergencies!

IMG_3527.jpg

I have a hair clip in here. As much as I love having my hair down I prefer my hair out of my face when I’m doing certain activities like studying or working out.

IMG_3515.jpg

I am always hungry! Lol. I make sure to carry some type of snack in my purse. These are some biscuit from Belvita. They are my favorite and super delicious/nutritious.

That is it for What’s in my Purse I hope you enjoyed reading as much as I enjoyed showing you my things!

Thanks for reading!

Outfit of The Day: January 19, 2018

Hello and happy Tuesday!

Today I have another outfit of the day or OOTD to show you! Just like last time this one is also going to be a gym version attire.

So to begin I decided to curl my hair for the pictures, but as soon as I get to the gym these curls are sadly going up into a bun.

I am wearing this red pull over. Its thin enough to workout in and it sort of has that distressed look which I like.

I am wearing some black tights from the brand BCG, which if you had read my previous OOTD post you would know its one of my favorite brands because of how affordable it is.

I am also wearing my favorite Nike shoes these have the rose gold/metallicy Nike symbol, which I think are so cute!

I also had my LG wireless headphones, but I did not get a picture of them. I absolutely love listening to music when I workout and I am not a huge fan of headphones with wires hence my wireless headphones. Lol

Lastly I am wearing my Fitbit Alta, which I love. I am obsessed with counting my steps and seeing how many steps I can put in a day!

Well I hope you enjoyed reading my OOTD and I hope you make the rest of this week a great one!

What I got for Christmas!

Hello and happy Monday!

I hope everyone started the week on a good note!

I know Christmas is over and has been over for about two weeks already, but I wanted to show you what I got for Christmas!

So let’s begin!

I am a huge Starbucks fan. I practically spend my whole time there, whether I am in school or during the break. Most of my family knows this by now, so I received a Starbucks gift card from one of my aunts, which I already used.

IMG_3085.jpg

I received this cute Christmas wine glass from one of my cousins. I put it to use once I received it. Lol.

IMG_3225.jpg

I also received this awesome ColourPop Palette, which I plan on doing a review on! Fingers crossed!

IMG_3215.jpg

I received this cute Nautica pajama set from my boyfriend’s mom. It’s a light baby blue color with tons of snowflakes. Perfect for the winter! They are so comfy and I’m a huge fan of pajamas sets!

IMG_3214.jpg

I also received one of my favorite body sprays from my little sister! Its the perfect size since I usually like carrying body mists in my purse for emergencies! It was a gift bundle which came with a body spray and a hand cream!

From my parents I received a two hundred dollar gift card from Academy Sports + Outdoors. With that I was able to purchase a good amount of clothes! I mostly bought workout clothes, because I was in need of new gym attire.

IMG_3222.jpg

I love the brand BCG, because their clothes is super affordable and comfortable. I got this cute BCG gray workout shirt. I believe I purchased this item for $12.99. I also purchased some black tights, which I actually wrote about in my last OOTD blog post. The last BCG item I purchased was this gray sports bra. I have never purchased their bras before and I was so surprised when I first used it. Definitely my new favorite bra.

I am a huge shoe lover of course, so I had to purchase some shoes! I was able to purchase two gorgeous pairs of shoes!

IMG_3218 2.jpg

I purchased these light gray with the metallic Nike symbol. I had actually seen these shoes when I was out of town, but they sadly did not have my shoe size. I had to wait till I got home to purchase them.

IMG_3162.jpg

Last but not least these gorgeous shoes! I had been wanting some white converse for the longest time. I was always so afraid of purchasing white shoes, because of the fact that they get dirty easily. I finally decided to go for it and bought them, and I am so glad I purchased them! They are my favorite shoes at the moment.

So that is it for what I got for Christmas. I hope you enjoyed reading, and like always, make this week a great week!

OOTD | Gym Outfit

Hello and happy Wednesday!

Today I wanted to quickly show you one of my outfits for the gym.

For todays gym session I have my favorite Columbia jacket. I feel like this jacket is a little too thick to workout out in, so I usually take it off once I get to the gym.

IMG_3052.jpg

I also have one of my favorite gray Nike Dri-fit long sleeve. I purchased this item at Academy Sports + Outdoors for about $50. I love this item because it fits well and is so comfy!

IMG_3059.jpg

I love listening to music while working out, so I use my LG wireless headphones. I received these as a Christmas gift last year and I use them every time I workout. I love them because I’m the type of person who hates using headphones especially when the cords get in the way. I feel like its just an accident waiting to happen, especially when doing cardio!

I also have my Fitbit Alta on, which is awesome cause I’m able to track my steps, which I enjoy doing! It helps me stay active and it just looks cool!

I have some black BCG tights on. Their tights are my absolute favorite because they are super affordable and look like every other black tights out there without breaking your wallet. I purchased these for $12.99, which is an awesome deal if you ask me!

IMG_3055.jpg

Last but not least I have my black Nike Pegasus shoes that I have owned for over two years!

I hope you enjoyed reading this quick OOTD and have a great day!

Snow Day in South Texas!

Hello and Happy New Year!

I hope you all had an amazing day today!

For those of you that don’t know I’m from south Texas and the last time it snowed here was on December 24, 2004, approximately 13 years ago! 13! I was only eight years old and I still remember bits and pieces of that day. Though we did not get a lot of snow it was enough for us to call it a white Christmas!

After 13 years on December 8, 2017 it finally snowed here again and it was so beautiful! I did what any other person who hasn’t really seen snow would do! Take pictures! I took tons of pictures/videos. I even went driving around the whole town just to take pictures and to admire the beauty of it.

Here are some of the pictures I was able to capture on this beautiful day!

I wasn’t quite sure whether it was going to snow but after some time it just started snowing!

IMG_2472.jpg

It did snow very softly at first. At one point I wasn’t sure if it was snow or just rain.

IMG_2646.jpg

But after a while it just started pouring and the site was beautiful.

IMG_2475.jpg

My dad even called me from work and asked me to take a picture of his oldie truck the one he swears to fix one day. Lol

IMG_2506.jpg

My mom also called me and asked me to take a picture of the house.

Screen Shot 2018-01-01 at 9.09.14 PM.png

I even drove past campus to see what it would look like with all the snow.

And I’m glad I did, because it was gorgeous!

It was like something you see out of a Christmas movie. People were building snowman and having themselves a good old fashioned snow ball fight. What I was most excited about was making a snow angel! Let me say that making a snow angel with jeans on is not a good idea. I nearly froze my butt off. Lol

All in all, it was an amazing day. One I will remember for a long time.
